Just because it's taken me so long to find it.

Just because she's so earnest, it brings tears to my eyes.


The night before the school play auditions.

My daughter, aged nine (three years ago).  Before hormones kicked in.

    Oh my! I have a wee tear, too, she reminds me of my girl, and you're right, time flies so quickly - I especially love the sweet smile and wave after finishing such a 'serious' song! A treasure...Chrissie x

    She must really dread singing in public now -- she'd rather stick pins in her eyes!! I am still laughing at you, Mom! You are funny. Your sweet "little girl" was precious, and underneath all that teenaged, hormone transition teenagers go through, she is still your sweet girl. Maybe she will pick up singing again in the near future.

    My little ones are all grown,but I remember my daughter at that age.
    Your beautiful one probably does not know how truly beautiful she is. There will ever only be one of her and she IS beautiful.
