Less Is More

Helloooo!!!

Where on earth have you been?

I've been waiting for you.

Hahaha! :-)

In all seriousness, I put my little blog on hiatus there for a few weeks.  I've been quite open about the fact that I have had some life issues to address.  Well, I'm pleased to report that I'm almost back on track, feeling more in control and plans are afoot.  All sounds very mysterious doesn't it, but it's really not.  I've come to realise that life can be peppered with ruts and, rather than sit and moan about them, I've had to get off my bottom, take a deep breath and be proactive.  So I have.  Yay me!

I have been continuing to post on Facebook and Instagram simply because it's easy.  Less wordy.  So if I ever go missing again and you wonder what I'm up to, feel free to come and poke me there (short cut buttons over on right hand column).

I've got so many bits and pieces to tell you that I'm struggling to put it in any sort of order.  Instead, I think I shall spread it over a few posts.  Yes, that's far better.

I really do want to talk to you about the green cushion in my first photograph and the sneaky glimpse of the neopolitan crochet beneath it though, so I'm tempted to say that will probably come next.

Back very soon.

  10. That's good to hear! Some things we just need to get in there and shake things up don't we? Good for you for taking action though. Can't wait to hear more of what you've been up too, including the very promising crochet pictures. I adore those latest spring mitts you made. Lovely pictures, especially the dog with tongue! ;)

  11. Lovely blog, glad you are getting back into the swing of things. Sometimes life is just hard. We get all scattered about and things get jumbled. Once we listen to the quiet, things seem to take on a different light where we can accept, tackle, and move on. Pretty crochet pictures. I love the green cushion, but I am most interested in the Neapolitan. It is gorgeous so far. I love the "flowers or baskets" that that stitch makes. Really lovely. Also, the little white flower embroidery is a sweet touch and sets it off. They are really pretty as well. Great to see you back, I will be following for the Neapolitan. :-) Hang in there, talk to us here, it helps. Thanks for sharing.

  12. It's great to read your posts again, lovely Heather. Your pics are beautiful and spring-inspired..... You sound positive and am glad you seem to have things under control. I love the "less is more " philosophy. I managed to finish my dissertation over Easter so even though I am now a bit deflated and exhausted..after the adrenalin rush....I know that changes are also in the horizon for me and I feel ready.... Have a lovely weekend!! Pati x

  18. Hello again. Well my life is also changing, now officially a person at home and having to do some serious 'getting my head round it' stuff. Feeling guilty about picking up a book so instead I am going round frantically cleaning everything in sight. I'm only on day 3 and opened the computer to complete my online Jobseekers application but couldn't resist a bloggy catch up....... so feeling guilty about that. I look forward to the updates.....
