Autumn Scape

We went for a walk around nearby Bradgate Park this morning, D, Bertie and I.  We walked for as long as it took the sun to burn away the pockets of heavy low-lying mist and to paint the scape with honeyed hues.

I could quite easily have stayed cocooned in the warmth of my duvet like most Sundays but I'm so glad I didn't.  I'm pretty sure we witnessed the season's last, loveliest smile.

  9. Gorgeous photos, especially the reflections, and how lovely Bertie is. Glad you had such a good walk. The fog lasted all day around here, I spent the afternoon watching football in the gloom. Could hardly see anything on the way home. Wishing you a good week Heather. CJ xx

  13. I feel the same. Autumn has been fantastic this year but the last few days season is changing. Sounds like a lovely walk and how lovely to squeeze out that last drops of autumn.

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons, I love it especially for the walks full of colour and the smells of the season.

  17. Looks just lovely. Love how happy Bertie looks about it too. We're taking our Bertie to the vets tomorrow for his second injection so hopefully our walks will not be far away now. Not that I suppose he will go very far!!
